What LitConnect is
Writers create one structured submission package per manuscript. Agents define what they are actively seeking. LitConnect surfaces better-fit submissions to the right agents, so writers spend less time guessing and agents spend less time sorting mismatched queries. LitConnect does not use AI to judge writing or determine fit.
How LitConnect is different from an agent database
Directories like QueryTracker let writers research and query agents one by one. With LitConnect, you submit one pitch and the agents whose wishlist it fits can ask to read more. Unlike a static wishlist directory such as Manuscript Wish List, matching is two-sided and active: agents set preferences, and LitConnect routes fitting pitches to them.
For writers
- Get matched with agents actively seeking your genre and category
- Create one structured submission package instead of customizing dozens of separate queries
- Track pitch views, likes, query-package reads, and manuscript requests in one place
For agents
- Review pitches aligned with the wishlist preferences you set
- Update your preferences as your list changes
- Read pitch and query materials first, then request partials or fulls when the fit looks promising
How it works
- Writers share genre, category, themes, word count, and a pitch
- Agents define the kinds of work they want to see
- LitConnect compares those signals to surface better-fit matches
- Agents review pitches and request the manuscripts they want to read more of

LitConnect is free for writers while we grow the platform, and free for agents. We do not guarantee matches, requests, or representation.
